Learn To Skate

This is the typically the start for most skaters, many who have advanced to (competitive) figure skating or speed skating programs with approval by the head coach of either program. A hockey helmet (with face mask) is strongly recommended.

Also, some athletes skate with a family member in a recreational skating style with support from on-ice coaches for recreation and fitness.

Registered athletes of all ages and abilities are welcome to enroll in the Learn to Skate Program. Cost is $230 (installment payments can be arranged with the GDSO treasurer)
